As well as the beautiful landscaped gardens with water features and sculpture, there is also a large kitchen garden. Wandering through this is like being in a perfumers! . . .

Went to Harcourt Arboretum at the weekend, but was maybe a week or two too early, as a lot of the colours haven’t come out yet…another visit needed methinks!

I love taking photographs at night…that may seem to be an oxymoron, photography meaning ‘writing with light’ and there not being much light at night…but the accumulation of light over time can give some quite surreal results — and then you can help it along a bit by introducing artificial light.
